Hi! I'm Kate

My work, which I’ve coined fun + fine art for design, is known for a distinctive energy and stylistic range that makes beautiful spaces feel more chic, dynamic, and inspired.

My practice is intentionally expansive, with a portfolio as nuanced and diverse as the modern collector. I move fluidly between a minimalist aesthetic that offers compositional quietude, an irreverent edge that leans into subversive humor, and effusive, color-rich experiences that capture the essence of a moment.

Whether you're in search of a piece that serves as the serene anchor for a curated room, or the high-impact ‘wink’ that makes a bold statement, my work is unified by a technical mastery and soul that earns its place in design-forward spaces.

Both my studio practice and my trade relationships are rooted in integrity, excellence, and a client-first approach. Whatever purpose art serves in your life or work, thank you for including me in your quest for gorgeousness.

process

My process begins and ends with the client - whether I am working with an individual collector on a custom commission, or sourcing the perfect combination of original pieces and prints for a larger-scale design project.

I work directly with each client to get a comprehensive understanding of the project scope, objectives, requirements and limitations, as well as the design aesthetic of the space and personal tastes of all relevant stakeholders.

My work style is flexible and responsive, from delivering on tightly-defined specs for a decisive designer, to owning all aspects of the advisory, production and installation process for clients seeking end-to-end service.

I can’t wait to hear about your project!

bio (artstory)

I have loved creating art since I could hold a crayon. I was drawn to portraiture (and all aspects of drawing people) from a young age, and eventually aspired to hyper-realism. In high school, I developed a passion for digital photography and digital image manipulation, and often used my photos as inspiration for my drawings.

I double-majored at Brown University in Visual Art and Economics (honors), and following a career spanning finance and strategy consulting, have pursued art professionally since 2019. Since then, I feel fortunate to have developed amazing relationships with individual art collectors, interior designers, and respected galleries and retailers.

Outside of the arts, I am a passionate supporter and board advisor for organizations dedicated to advancing educational access, excellence, and empowerment, particularly for girls and first-generation college students.

I work from a dedicated art studio in Chatham, NJ, and continue my arts education at the Visual Art Center of New Jersey. I live with my family in Summit, NJ, and especially love teaching and making art with my two sons, whose curiosity, vision, and natural talents baffle and thrill me.
